RESEARCH CULTUURNETWERK

Cultuurnetwerk has the network and expertise needed to foster connections between academic knowledge, practical knowledge and research in the field of arts and cultural education.
In order to promote research, Cultuurnetwerk organises the following activities:

Disseminating knowledge

  • via the Portal for Research into Arts and Cultural Education (POC), which provides access to information on current or completed research into arts and cultural education in the Netherlands
  • via the Cultuur + Educatie magazine

Exchanging knowledge

  • by organising study afternoons on specific research themes
  • by organising the annual Conference on Research into Arts and Cultural Education in cooperation with an academic university, a university of applied sciences or a research institute
  • by taking part in research conferences in the Netherlands and abroad

Increasing the possibilities for applying knowledge

  • by stimulating projects in which research knowledge is put into practice

Promoting knowledge

  • by providing advice on research questions for third parties, including the national government
  • by participating in supervisory committees appointed for third-party research
  • by supervising research internships for undergraduate, graduate or PhD students

Compiling knowledge

  • via literature studies
  • by putting together a handbook on research into arts and cultural education
  • by cooperating in research with third parties as in Museum Education in Practice
